Just Who Are The Faces Up at 2am?!

Hopefully, you’ve gotten a glimpse of who we are through reading our book!  We shared some of our most intimate and transparent moments with our readers, but we thought it would be fun to share just a few more things you may not have known about who we are as Taria and Tyrece. 

Here are 10 things to know about each of us:

TARIA

I LOVE the color pink! But I also love the color black.  If something is sold in both colors, that’s a hard decision to make.

I have a love/hate relationship with meat. I sometimes think I can become a vegetarian UNTIL I think about the bacon, steak and burgers I’d be giving up.

I am a HUGE planner girl! Like huge! I’ve loved planners, stationary, pens etc. since I was a little girl.  Getting new supplies was my favorite thing about going back to school after summer break.

I am a licensed School Counselor.  I believe that helping others work through problems or issues is one of my God-given gifts.

Along those lines, I have two master’s degrees– the first one is in Education with the School Counselor focus and the other in Educational Psychology.  I thought my career was going down a different path when I decided to get the master’s in Ed. Psych…not so much!!

Tyrece and I attended middle school together but were never more than friends until adulthood.  

I love to organize! So much so, I started an organizing business, Simply Put Organizing, with my best friend and former college roommate.  Everything must have a place in our home!

I am a mom of two boys who keep me on my toes! 

I am one-half of 2am Parenting.

I am a Christian and lover of Jesus Christ!

TYRECE 

I played football for and graduated from the University of Michigan. Go Blue!

I had a crush on Taria when we attended middle school together, but I never told her.

I have a degree in Sports Management; however, since college, my entire career has been in sales.

I was struck by lightning in high school during football practice. No major injuries, thank God!

I love music and I love to grill…put those two together and that’s the perfect day for me.

While playing at the University of Michigan, I had the opportunity to play with Tom Brady. He was the quarterback, along with Drew Henson, my freshman year on the team.  Brady led us to an Orange Bowl victory over Alabama that year!

I am the dad of those same two boys, they keep me busy as well!

I met President Ford, a fellow Michigan man!

I am the second half of 2am Parenting.

I love the Lord! 

As you can see, we are just a set of parents who have a handful of interests, balance a load of individual responsibilities, and need the help, love, and strength of Jesus to do all of these things after a bout of 2am Parenting!
